Car Insurance Lexus (Car Insurance). good road legal pit bikes (50cc)?good road legal pit bikes (50cc)? im 16 soon and i want a good one that isn't going to fall apart after a few weeks, i live in the U.K, iv got up to 500 pound to spend possibly more, and as its being said millions of times 'Road legal pit bikes don't exist' shut up they do, if your just gonna say they don't exist don't answer thanks :) Seriously, your budget (if your insurance and kit are coming out of it too) is going to restrict you to a secondhand Chinese model which are not the best quality even brand new. If it is road legal then it is not a pit bike, pit bikes get used in racing pits. A bike not used as transport around a racing pit area is not a pit bike. For you to be able to ride it it is a MOPED - another way to say it but true. In the UK you can only ride what is defined as a moped at 16. Less than 50cc and limited by design to 31 mph. If you think you can get any sort of decent 50cc for £500 plus insure it etc etc etc then you are in la la land Oh dear, here's yet another child, who doesn't even own a bike and still thinks they know everything about them already! Lexus . How to Remove a Zetec ThermostatThe Zetec is a dual-overhead cam, or DOHC, four-cylinder engine manufactured by the Ford Motor Company and used in some of its small cars, such as the Focus and Fiesta. The Zetec's thermostat regulates the temperature of the cooling system. The thermostat stays closed when the engine temperature is low, then opens when the engine reaches operating temperature. A faulty thermostat may cause the engine to overheat, necessitating its removal for repair or replacement. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Drain pan Wrench set Pliers Torx screwdriver Step by Step : 1 Open the hood of the vehicle and allow the engine to cool down completely before beginning this procedure. 2 Place a drain pan under the radiator. Open the radiator drain valve with a wrench and allow the coolant to drain into the pan. Close valve when the coolant has finished draining. Slide the drain pan from under the front of the vehicle. Save the coolant, if desired, to pour back into the radiator once the thermostat has been replaced. 3 Locate the EGR tube brackets on the driver's side of the engine near the air filter housing. Remove the retaining bolts from the bracket with a wrench, then push the EGR tube downwards slightly to create extra working room around the thermostat housing. 4 Squeeze the tabs together on the upper radiator hose clamp on the thermostat housing with a pair of pliers. Slide the clamp away from the thermostat housing. Grasp the hose and pull it straight off of the housing. Remove the rear hose from the thermostat housing in the same fashion. 5 Remove the three retaining bolts from the thermostat housing with a 10mm socket and a ratchet wrench. Push the thermostat housing up slightly to reveal two more smaller hoses attached to the underside of the housing. Remove the hose clamps and pull the hoses off the housing in the same fashion as the removal of the other two hoses. 6 Remove the thermostat housing from the engine bay. Remove the three retaining screws from the thermostat retaining ring on the housing with torx screwdriver. Remove the retaining ring, then lift the thermostat straight up and out of the housing. Tips & Warnings The thermostat and housing can be installed by reversing the order of the above procedure.
Lexus . How to Tell If a Coil Pack Is Bad?The coil pack is an essential component of a vehicle. Its main purpose is to transform the battery's voltage to the required amount of volts needed to fire the spark plugs. The coil pack consists of thin coils that are wrapped around a central core hundreds of times. Coil packs can become defective sometimes. When this happens, early signs usually appear, such as decreased engine power, rough idle or engine noise. Along with these symptoms, you can use certain techniques to determine if the coil pack in your vehicle is bad. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Spark tester or 12-volt test light Step by Step : 1 Open the hood of the vehicle and remove the electrical connector from the coil pack. This is located next to the engine oil dipstick in the engine compartment. 2 Connect a spark tester or a 12-volt test light to the battery's positive terminal. Place the test light probe for the test light on each of the outside terminals of the coil pack connector. 3 Stand at a safe distance from the vehicle and ask someone to start the car for you. As the car cranks up, check to see if the test light blinks. If the test light does not blink or there is no spark, that means that the coil pack is bad. You can find instructions for doing so in the "Fuel" section, which follows. .Chapter 21: What to Do If Your Car Drops Dead or Won't Start A 2 7 Fuel No matter how nervous you are, never smoke when working on a car, especially if you're dealing with the fuel system! If the engine turns over but doesn't start running, it may not be getting fuel. The first question you need to answer is whether you're out of gas. Even if your gas gauge says that you still have some, the gauge may be on the blink. When did you last fill the tank? If your car lost power before it died, take note of the following to see whether fuel is getting to the engine: * Sometimes the problem is too much fuel. If you open the hood and find that everything is covered with gasoline, don't try to start the car! Gasoline is too flammable to monkey around with. Just hoist that white 952

Occasionally, a vehicle gets so hot that the gasoline boils in the fuel line and forms bubbles that keep the fuel from getting to the fuel injectors or carburetor. The symptoms are easy to spot: Your engine just suddenly stops running, with no prior warning. Happily, the remedy isn't difficult: Simply open the hood, wrap a wet rag around the fuel line between the fuel pump and the fuel injectors or carburetor, and wait for things to cool down. Lexus . What would driving in second gear at highway speeds for ten mintues do to a car?
It would shorten the life span of the engine some. Volvo S80. * Don't try to open the radiator pressure cap or coolant reservoir to get water to wet the rag. The pressure in the overheated system can cause hot liquid to spray out and burn you. If you don't have a wet rag, wrap aluminum foil around the fuel line and leave it in place after you get started. No aluminum foil? Then just sit there and wait for the darn thing to cool down. Eventually, the vapor lock will go away. If neither of the above seems to be the case, try the following set of steps that applies to your vehicle. Lexus . Where is the fuel cut off switch located?

Try cranking the engine while someone sprays fuel injector cleaner into the throttle body. If the engine starts and then dies, it's a fuel problem. If the engine cranks without firing, it's an ignition system or compression problem. 2. If the engine did start with fuel injector cleaner, find out whether the fuel pump isn't pumping fuel or the computer isn't triggering the fuel injectors. Lexus .
